Assessing the magnetic order dependent γ-surface of Cr-Co-Ni alloys

چکیده

In order to efficiently explore the nearly infinite composition space in multicomponent solid solution alloys for reaching higher mechanical performance, it is important establish predictive design strategies using computation-aided methods. Here, ab initio calculations we systematically study effects of magnetism and chemical on generalized stacking fault energy surface (γ-surface) Cr-Co-Ni medium entropy show that both chemistry coupled magnetic state strongly affect γ-surface, consequently, primary deformation modes. The relations among various stable unstable energies are revealed discussed. present findings useful studying behaviors facilitate a density functional theory based transformation-induced plasticity twinning-induced mechanisms alloys.
